About Crikvenica

The Town of Crikvenica is actually a seaside riviera made up of four small coastal towns – Selce, Crikvenica, Dramalj and Jadranovo – connected in a string of seaside resorts. They are located in Kvarner Bay on the coast of the Adriatic Sea. This area is part of the County of Primorje-Gorski Kotar, whose administrative centre is Rijeka, a city located 30 km away. The Town of Crikvenica is not only made up of land. It also stretches into the sea and includes the Vinodol Channel. In total, it covers an area of 60 square kilometres.
Beaches
The first public wooded bathing establishment on the coast in Crikvenica was constructed in 1888. Guests liked it, and returned over and over again, which was the beginning of tourism in the town. All that was needed was better organisation. And that’s exactly what we’ve provided! Our beaches today are very special; the sea leaves nothing to be desired, and nearby there are walking trails and promenades with fragrant Mediterranean plants.
